Mark Brown, DDS
In 2009, Dr. Mark Brown graduated from Loma Linda School of Dentistry with a doctorate in dental surgery. He found a passion for dentistry in the performance of patient care and enjoys getting the opportunity to connect with those he serves. Since obtaining his degree, he has lived in the Grass Valley/Auburn area with his family; this includes his wife, Kristi, and their three children – Maddie, Jake, and Emma.
When he’s outside of the office, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the great outdoors hiking in the Sierra Nevada. He also enjoys playing piano and is a Renaissance man.
Jasper Yai, DDS
Jasper Yai received his doctorate degree in dental surgery from Loma Linda School of Dentistry in 2009; the same year as Dr. Brown! Since joining our team in 2010, he has become an exceptional provider at our practice – exceeding the expectations of every patient through diligent service and devotion to patient care. Dr. Yai is incredibly down-to-earth and enjoys building strong relationships with his patients; through these interactions, he is able to better understand their individual needs and meet their goals.
When you can’t find Dr. Yai in the office, he is more than likely out participating in various sports and activities! Some of his favorite time is spent playing basketball, enjoying a day on the golf course, or even doing some tricks with a yo-yo. Dr. Yai also loves to be with his wife, Amy, and their two children – Sophie and Joey.
Dr. Yai is a master of dentistry and excels in the areas of cosmetics and restorations! When you are ready, he is here to help you build the smile of your dreams.
Claudia Moncada, DDS
After graduating from Loma Linda School of Dentistry and gaining her doctorate in dental surgery, Dr. Claudia Moncada has been proud to practice dental excellence here at Nevada City Smiles. Her passion for dental care makes her an exceptional provider. She exhibits meticulous conduct, skillful execution, kindness, and sincerity with every action she takes. Her passion for dentistry drives her to share her knowledge with those she serves, hoping to support patients in making informed decisions about their health.
Outside of the office, Dr. Claudia enjoys participating in activities that reflect her adventurous spirit. This includes hiking, traveling, and occasionally going on mission trips to serve those in need. Her favorite pastime on a quiet day at home is reading a good book.
